Apply to be a Part of the PPCWG Institute
The American Public Human Services Association (APHSA) and its affiliate, National Association of Public Child Welfare Administrators (NAPCWA), in partnership with Casey Family Programs, are pleased to announce the launch of the Positioning Public Child Welfare Guidance (PPCWG) Institute.
The Positioning Public Child Welfare Guidance is a culmination of work that has been developed by leaders and stakeholders in the public child welfare field to define what we do, how we do it and how we must hold ourselves accountable. The PPCWG Institute will use the Guidance as the curriculum to work with states and local agencies to advance change within their organizations to improve performance.
APHSA, NAPCWA and Casey Family Programs are accepting applications from state and local public child welfare agencies to participate in the upcoming 2010 PPCWG Institute. Attached you will find more information about the PPCWG Institute and how to apply and the guidelines. Applications will be accepted until March 1, 2010.
The Institute will take place the following dates: May 20-21, July 8-9, Aug .12-13, and Dec. 3, 2010. The May Institute dates will take place in the Washington D.C. area. The locations for the following dates are to be determined dependant upon selection of participants. The PPCWG Institute will cover the costs of the Institute, lodging and food for the participants. Travel expenses are expected to be provided by the selected state/locality.
