Doing More for Less:
Strengthening Families in the Face of Fiscal Challenges
Date: April 3-6, 2009
Location: The Fairmont Hotel
Washington, DC
Looking for the premier gathering of experts, leaders, advocates, and partners in the public child welfare field? Want an opportunity to learn from leading executives, foundation leaders, and public agency administrators about cutting edge innovations that strengthen families in the face of these tough economic times? Then you want to attend the 2009 NAPCWA Spring Conference!
This year’s conference theme was "Doing More with Less: Strengthening Families in The Face of Fiscal Challenges". It reflects the undercurrent for most if not all public service sectors. Budgets are being slashed, state deficits are mounting, and the number of vulnerable children and families finding themselves at the doorstep of public child welfare agencies is growing. NAPCWA has convened a network of public agency leaders, private sector experts, representatives from other human service systems, and members from the new Administration to guide conference participants through a program of engagement and learning about practical strategies to lead staff, families, and communities to better outcomes.
In this moment of great uncertainty, your attendance at this conference is imperative. We will strategically navigate through these trying times, to ensure children and families we serve get the services and supports they need!
